Jewellers Bench workshop

This week we made a jewellers bench and side table for Michelle Oh, a local jeweller http://www.michelle-oh.com/. She has just moved to a great new studio in Hackney and needed some new furnishings. The jewellers bench was specially made to Michelle's specification it is based on a pitch table but is slightly taller with a curved recess which allows her to get up close to her work. We're going to go back to have a look when she's all set up so watch out for more photo's.

We love our pipe threader so much we named her Gertie

At Arnhem Brown Workshop we use steel piping in lots of our fabrications, generally pipes are jointed with plumbing parts. In order to fix pipe into these parts we need to cut threads on the ends of the pipes. This is where Gertie comes in! She's not a one trick pony though, oh no. She also cuts pipe to length using a displacement cutter. First "Pitch" table off the production line and we love it.

The Pitch series of tables was developed with small cafes and bistros in mind. As with all our tables it is a very sturdy little number, so ideal for the daily knocks and spills busy cafes throw up. The matt black legs look great and will age well as they wear. More photos coming soon.
